Here's a message from the South's FanForce Chapter Rep:

Hi, I'm Glen (or Cobra, or Cobranaconda, or Krv), the current Chapter Rep for the South of England. Our aim is to have as many meets as possible in as many places as possible. It can be for any occasion: conventions, days-out, or just random meets for a movie or a meal.

Generally, it's the Star Wars fandom that keeps us bound together, but we do all branch out quite a bit. Various fandoms are represented through FanForce, and all are generally welcome.

The South covers a vast area. Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Dorset, Avon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Hampshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Surrey, West Sussex, East Sussex, Kent, Essex, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire are the counties solely covered by the South FanForce. The next band of counties (Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire and Herefordshire) are generally open-terrain, neither South or Midlands, and so members can come and go freely. London has its own chapter, due to the fact that it's massive.

So, yeah. If you live in the South of England and want some insanity that's somewhat related to Star Wars and other fandoms: drop on by. If you don't live in the South of England, drop on by anyway, the company is usually appreciated.
